As a Mom of 3 children, 2 with special needs, I have had the opportunity/privilege to learn/experience with my children how each of them learns differently. My oldest son has introduced me to the joy and challenges of ADHD/Dyslexia/LD in Reading/Writing/Spelling. My daughter allows me to experience a typical child with an exceptional personality. My youngest son has educated me on the many aspects of Down syndrome/Brain Injury/Apraxia/Dysphagia/Bi-Lateral Conductive Hearing Loss.

Today I Lost My Best Friend, My Rock, My Mom
It is with a heavy heart, so much sadness and through my tears that I update my blog to let you know that my mother, Marilyn Boldt went to heaven today. It happened so fast after a very brief illness and words can not describe how very sad and lost I am. I am taking a break from the blog as I work through my grief and sadness and help my Dad adjust to his new reality without the woman he loved for more than 60 years. This woman was my rock, my sounding board and my biggest support. She was Sam's biggest cheerleader and she loved that boy with all her heart as she did each and every one of her grandchildren. I will miss you Mom, I love you and I promise I will take care of Dad for you. You left too quick and too soon but please know that my life was forever changed because of you. I look forward to the day when we will meet again. I know you will continue to watch over us and be with us, God blessed us with your time here on earth.
Sue, I'm so very sorry to hear about your mom. It sounds like she was a wonderful woman! Lifting your dad and your family up through during this very difficult time.
